ACG 199- Gaara update

this update is going to be short and sweet, cause' it's 6:10PM and I'm still at school. Been Here since 9:30. I got 4 hors of work done on my Gaara CG today, and good God, it looks fantastic. I must say, I am proud... but I need to learn how to work faster.

Here's about 10+ hours worth of rendering on just his face and his eyes alone. *dies* this is only my second or third attempt at realism with photoshop. At least I'm getting progressively better with time, practice, and patience x_x The file is so big, that it takes a MAC 2 whole minutes to save it.

it's a shame this wasn't ready in time for the art exhibit tonight.. ;_; I could have won an award for it.. *never see's anyone trying to paint realism in photoshop in the graphics classes*

*EDIT*: OK, now that the art show is over, I can give you guys a little update ^_^

Art show went well, Bleach'D won an award for the cartooning category 8D *implodes happily* I had a bunch of art up, including 2 pages from 'the shifting sand'. The cartooning wall looked really good this time around. It actually made Kirk look good, cause it looked like we actually work in class *snort* XD

I want to finish this by the end of the semester, cause if not.. i'm going to have to finish it next semester, and I don't want to wait that long, but I don't know if it's going to happen. I have a lot of 'end of semester' projects and work coming up that I need to turn in soon, so time in the lab might be limited, though i still need to turn in work there as well.. need my hours to finish *dies*
speaking of which, i need to get back to my japanese work.. *grumbles* or start one of my light and shadow drawings, or start on my paper.. *rambles*
