So.. tonight I finished making this dress for Pesty (bonnet included)

I'm rather proud of it, considering I made the pattern myself There are still things that need to be adjusted before this can be put into commission production, but I will NOT be making a dress like this again anytime soon. Noooohohoho way. Not unless I get paid a good sum of money to do this.

Making this work was kind of a headache. My first thought was to make the back center piece ruched so that it wouldn't have an ugly open seam in the back of the skirt, but it came out too big, so I had to go with the back that snapped shut :/ I'm still messing with the measurements of the bodice (had to make that twice before it came out "ok". it's still too big), and I ALMOST ran out of fabric. I used almost 16 yards of lace on the underskirt... No really, I'm serious. It's 6 rows of double-layered lace. I had bought 4 yards of each originally, thinking it would be enough... LOL it only went around the very bottom of it once, I had to go back and buy 8 more yards of each. I have about a yard and a half of each leftover.
