'What's wrong, panda bear?'

Hitomi: Awe... what's wrong panda bear? :<

Hitomi: -nudge- C'mon, you can tell me
Gaara: ... am I really a monster?
Hitomi: :<!!! of course not!! 'sides, if you were, you're the cutest panda monster I've ever seen!
Gaara: ... -weak smile- -wipes eyes-

mmhmmm she called him 'panda' because he reminded her of the panda's that used to roam the forests around the village where she grew up. her mother also used to say that to cheer her up whenever she was sad.

colored version of my previous deviation, ignore the sad excuse for a background, I'm workin on it :< -the whole 'backgrounds go in pictures!' thing- I don't usually do them, but for the sake of improving, i'm forcing myself to do them in all of my recent projects.

anywho.. the girl is an original, one of about six or seven original characters from my doujinshi-in-the-works-, "The Shifting Sand". tis gaara and hitomi when they were both about 6... when they actually got along, before she started being so mean to him xD (BEFORE kazekage sent her away, and she became the brat we know and love today lol)
she found herself on roof tops quite often :B she had some sleeping problems of her own, and was up late most nights...
she liked to watch the stars, especially since you could see them better in the desert, aand she happened to find him up there tonight on one of her excursions. apparantly something happened that had upset him >:
